About Central Laboratory, Gujarat Pollution Control Board
Central laboratory under Gujarat pollution control board, established in 1974 protects the environment, prevent & control the pollution of water and hence has set up a lab. For providing these facilities the lab is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The lab conducts chemical testing on materials like Potable and Domestic Water, Liquid Effluent, Ambient Air Quality, Stack Monitoring etc., which undergo tests like Carbon Disulphide, SPM, Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Oil & Grease, Total Suspended Solids, Turbidity, Conductivity, Temperature, Sulphate and many more. The lab also conducts biological testing on materials like Effluents, Treated water, Domestic & Industrial waste water which undergo tests like Estimation of Total Coli forms, Estimation of Fecal Coli forms, Toxicity for fish, Test for Escherichia Coli and many more.
