About Central Drugs Laboratory , Kasauli
Central Research Institute is one of the oldest institutes in India offering biochemical R&D facilities; it was established in 1905 in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. Its Central Drugs Laboratory is well known for the testing of various pharmaceutical drugs, sera, solutions of serum proteins, antigens, anti-toxins, vaccines, bactSeriophages and surgical sutures. Anti snakebite vaccination and anti-rabbit inoculations were manufactured in this laboratory only. The laboratory is well equipped with high-end modern and reliable instrumentation to conduct chemical tests on the vaccines and sera. Besides, it is also proficient in conducting biological tests on the vaccines and anti-toxins. Through its research and analysis facilities, it has been saving human lives for a long time.
